Pomegranate juice compared with other juices
1 min read

There are many juices made from fruit that is easy to eat, such as grapes or oranges. Pomegranates themselves are not very easy to eat. Not everyone knows how to cut and clean this hard-to-get-into round fruit properly. That is why it is much easier to enjoy the pomegranate as juice.
UCLA researchers compared the polyphenol content and antioxidant activity of eight kinds of juice. Pomegranate juice reached the highest values – 20 per cent higher than any other juice in the comparison.
The juices were ranked as follows:
- 1 Pomegranate juice
- 2 Red grape juice
- 3 Blueberry juice
- 4 Cherry juice
- 5 Acai berry juice
- 6 Cranberry juice
- 7 Orange juice
- 8 Apple juice
How much pomegranate juice a day?
Most people enjoy a glass of juice, about 200 ml a day – on its own or diluted with water. What matters is choosing 100% directly pressed juice with no added sugar.
